Drone Training Cambridge

This Cambridge drone training course takes place every evening during the course period for a couple of hours each night until the content has been covered. You will meet virtually with your groundschool instructor and learn from the comfort of your home. Once you have completed the groundschool theory and passed the theory test we will spend a few days working through the Operations Manual construction before inviting you to your nearest flight examination centre to complete the final stage, the Flight Skills Test (FST). When you book you will be asked to select your nearest location so that your local instructor can be allocated to you.

This process allows us to complete your training safely and social distancing is observed at every stage.

Very impressed with the level of detail in the course. When the information pack arrived I
was overwhelmed with the amount of information included. The ground school was very indepth,
but time was taken to ensure we fully understood the information by presenting the
information in different ways and presenting real-life examples. Both Gareth and Matt were
excellent instructors, very approachable with a wealth of knowledge in the aviation industry.
We learned so much about the industry, protocols, safety procedures and flight skills, in 3
days of flight skills training my flying has improved much more than in 3 months practising
on my own. I would highly recommend Flyby for anyone looking to become a professional
UAV pilot as the level of training will even take a novice to professional level of flying.

Our flight skills training days make maximum use of available light, so run from 8.30 am until twilight. We provide lunch and refreshments.

Your Flight Skills Test (FST) takes place in open countryside, so you may have to travel to your nearest examiner. We aim to have an instructor and location within reasonable distance to you, but Instructors of our experience are few and far between so you travel may need to travel up to 90 minutes to them, it’s only for one day and a nice day out!

One to ones at a location to suit you are available at an extra cost.

You can meet your local instructor below, but our team are busy people so they do sometimes cover courses for each other, so this may not be the instructor for your course. Rest assured all our instructors are of an excellent calibre and you can read all about them on our home page.
