If you plan to do one of the following with any drone, you will need the basic A2CofC qualification. However we highly recommend going for the full GVC course so that you can future-proof your business and gain the confidence you’ll need as a successful drone pilot. You are not just an operator.
Some of the common drones used for these purposes are the DJI Mavic Air, Mavic Pro and Phantom 4 Pro. If you want to do more than the basics, fly closer to people and perform more complex tasks using a drone, then you will need the GVC drone training.
If you plan to do one of the following with any drone, you will need the full GVC qualification. You’ll gain the confidence you’ll need as a successful drone pilot, not just an operator.
Some of the common drones used for these purposes are the DJI Phantom 4 Pro, Inspire 2 and the M200/M300 Series. You may also be using a bespoke aircraft. Anything not covered here will need the GVC drone training as a building block, followed by further advanced drone training like BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight). At present aircraft equipped for this purpose are limited but we can build you a fleet with different capabilities using our bespoke drone technology. Flyby Technology are currently making enormous progress in this field, so are best placed to advise you on how to enter this exciting part of the drone industry.
The A2CofC live online course costs £99 + VAT, and you can choose to add a day of Flight Skills Training with your local expert instructor for £451 + VAT. You may also upgrade your course to the full GVC Pro Course for a further £750 + VAT. Lots of options and flexibility for you!
The GVC live online course costs £999 + VAT and we give you A2CofC training for free. You can choose to add a day of Flight Skills Training with your local expert instructor for £451 + VAT. The course is unique as it’s live not recorded, so you can ask those “all important” questions as you go along. This way there will be no misunderstandings. You get both qualifications by training with Flyby.
Once you have your certificate you can work commercially as a drone pilot.

We welcome students at all levels. Our A2CofC Essentials Course is a great starter course that covers the basics. Our Pro GVC Course covers everything you need to gain your GVC and we give you the A2CofC course for free. If you do opt for the Pro GVC course, you will take a Flight Skills Test (FST). We ask that you have at least 10 hours of drone flying experience to take this test, otherwise we recommend adding a day of flight skills training when you book on your course.
